Bengaluru, May 23, 2025 – Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal led a review meeting in Bengaluru to evaluate Karnataka’s progress in urban development and the energy sector. Key topics included the expansion of Bengaluru Metro, legacy waste treatment, water reuse, transit-oriented development, and smart meter deployment. The meeting aimed to assess current efforts and identify areas for improvement.
The Minister advised the state to enhance its performance to secure funding under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment (SSASCI) 2025–26. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting Karnataka’s comprehensive development, particularly in strengthening urban infrastructure and advancing energy reforms.
