
Chandigarh, April 5, 2025 – Manohar Lal Khattar has backed the Waqf Amendment Bill, highlighting its potential to resolve long-standing issues related to the management of Waqf properties. The former Haryana Chief Minister stated that the bill promotes transparency and ensures that community assets are used for their intended welfare purposes.
Khattar pointed out that disputes and irregularities in Waqf property governance have gone unchecked due to a lack of proper legal mechanisms.
