New Delhi, February 11, 2025: Maldives Speaker Abdullah Maumoon praised the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Indian Parliament, recognizing its potential to streamline legislative processes and improve efficiency. During his meeting with Indian Parliament officials, Abdullah expressed admiration for how AI technologies have been integrated into the functioning of India’s Parliament, enhancing transparency and accountability in legislative proceedings.
Abdullah also sought India’s support in digitizing the archives of the Majlis, the Maldivian Parliament, aiming to preserve and modernize the country’s legislative history. He highlighted the importance of leveraging technology for better governance and expressed hope for collaboration between the two nations in advancing digital infrastructure within parliamentary systems.
