Mumbai, March 22, 2025 – The Maharashtra government has announced a special plan to curb rising tiger attacks in Gadchiroli district. The initiative includes setting up rapid response teams, increasing forest patrolling, and deploying wildlife experts to monitor tiger movements. Authorities aim to implement advanced tracking systems and awareness campaigns to prevent human-wildlife conflicts.
The government is also considering habitat improvement measures and compensation schemes for affected families. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that the safety of both residents and wildlife is a priority, ensuring a balanced approach to conservation and human security in the region.
