Prayagraj, January 27, 2025: Over 4.6 million devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam by 8 AM on this auspicious day of the Mahakumbh. The confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers holds immense spiritual significance, with pilgrims believing that bathing in its waters cleanses sins and brings salvation. To accommodate the massive crowd, the Uttar Pradesh government has made extensive arrangements, including shelters, medical aid stations, and food stalls.
The event is proceeding smoothly under tight security, with thousands of personnel ensuring the safety and orderly movement of pilgrims. Saints and religious leaders guided devotees in rituals, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. The Mahakumbh will continue for weeks, attracting participants from across the country and abroad.
