Lucknow, February 19, 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has criticized West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for calling the Maha Kumbh “Mrityu Kumbh” following a recent stampede. He condemned the remark, highlighting the event’s cultural and spiritual importance and accusing the opposition of politicizing the tragedy.
Adityanath asserted that attacking Sanatan Dharma and the Maha Kumbh was an affront to millions of devotees. He emphasized that the event is a societal gathering, not politically driven, and assured support for the victims while denouncing political exploitation of the incident.
