Tirumala, January 8, 2025: The Kalyana Ratham, carrying a replica of Lord Venkateswara, has departed from Tirumala for the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Additional Executive Officer Venkayya Choudhary performed prayers before its departure. The Mela will be held from January 13 to February 26, 2025, with a replica Tirumala temple set up on 2.5 acres of land, where rituals will be conducted by a 170-member team. Kalyanotsavams will take place on January 18, 26, February 3, and 12.
Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 Security Measures
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held once every 12 years, will be held in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025, with key bathing dates on January 14, January 29, and February 3. Thousands of devotees are expected, and the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented seven-layered security and AI-based CCTV surveillance to ensure safety during the event.
