Low Pressure Area to Bring Heavy Rains to Southern India by Nov 23

Low Pressure Likely Over Bay of Bengal by November 23 : A low-pressure area is expected to form over the Bay of Bengal by Thursday, which will intensify into a depression by November 23. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility that the system could further strengthen into a cyclonic storm. The low-pressure area is expected to move gradually towards the Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coasts.

This weather system is likely to bring widespread rainfall to the southern parts of India, particularly the South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema regions after November 26. Weather experts have predicted moderate to heavy rains in several areas on November 27 and 28.

In response to these weather developments, disaster management authorities are advising farmers to take necessary precautions in their agricultural activities. MD of the State Disaster Management Authority, Kurmanath, has urged the public to remain vigilant and stay prepared for the upcoming rainfall.

Farmers and residents in the affected regions have been advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and follow the guidance of local authorities to minimize the potential impact of the rains.
