Tirumala, March 10, 2025: The annual Srivari Teppotsavam (Float Festival) began in Tirumala with great devotion. The event, held during the Phalguna month, featured a beautifully decorated float carrying Lord Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman in the temple’s Pushkarini. The deities were taken in a grand procession before boarding the float for three rounds, accompanied by Vedic chants and devotional music.
In the following days, Lord Krishna with Rukmini and Lord Malayappa Swami with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi will take part in similar rituals with increasing rounds. Due to the festival, TTD has canceled certain sevas on specific dates. Dating back to 1468, the Teppotsavam is a sacred tradition believed to bring marital harmony to devotees.
