    Betting App Gang Arrest in Visakhapatnam: “Kai Raja Kai – Bet a hundred and win a thousand.” This betting scheme, which once thrived in obscure locations, has now found its way into several YouTube channels, websites, and mobile apps. Innocent people are getting trapped in this web. Advertisements popping up online are emptying accounts in a matter of moments.

    Some people, lured by the thrill of betting, are shattering their families, while others, having lost money, are resorting to fraud and ruining their lives. The growing number of such scams is alarming. Despite government efforts to crack down on them, these operations continue to spring up like mushrooms. Recently, the police in Visakhapatnam uncovered a betting app gang and arrested seven suspects. CP Shankhabhrata Bagchi provided details about the case. Based on information received from Ahmedabad, they apprehended the gang involved in cyber crimes operating out of Visakhapatnam. He mentioned that these individuals have links to China and are running betting apps under various names.

    People Need to Be Cautious: Shankhabhrata Bagchi stated that this gang is operating the app without the Reserve Bank of India’s approval. Investigations revealed that the money from the betting apps is being sent to China and Taiwan. The police seized eight desktop computers, ten laptops, a car, a bike, 800 checkbooks, and debit cards from the suspects. He explained that the seven arrested individuals acquired SIM cards without any identification and used them to carry out these crimes. Shankhabhrata Bagchi advised the public to remain vigilant regarding such apps.
