Anakapalli, April 4, 2025: Laurus Labs is set to establish a bulk drugs manufacturing unit in Phase-2 of Rambilli, Anakapalli district, with an investment of ₹5,000 crore. The project is expected to generate around 7,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The announcement came after a meeting between the company’s Executive Vice President, Narasimha Rao, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The company will produce specialty chemicals, including formulations, crop science chemicals, and green chemistry products. Laurus Labs thanked the Chief Minister for land allocation and expressed confidence in the government’s support under the “Speed of Doing Business” policy. The Chief Minister urged the company to begin work quickly, marking an expansion of Laurus Labs’ existing presence in Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
