Vijayawada, February 7, 2025: The Special Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Saiprasad, met with KRMB Member Secretary Raypuri to discuss Andhra Pradesh’s funding for the board’s operations and the relocation of its office to Vijayawada. Raypuri requested a suitable building, and Saiprasad assured that one with necessary facilities would be allocated soon.
The meeting also addressed Andhra Pradesh’s objection to Telangana’s third-phase telemetry proposal, stating that AP had already agreed to fund two phases. Discussions covered the removal of CRPF security at Nagarjuna Sagar, alternative CISF deployment, and deputation terms for AP officers in KRMB. Chief Engineer M. Venkateswara Rao, Ratnakumar, and others attended the meeting.
