Mumbai, February 15, 2025: The much-awaited sequel, ‘Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh’, starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, has been rescheduled to release on April 18, 2025, instead of its original March 14 date. The new date coincides with the 106th anniversary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, adding historical significance to the film’s release.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film focuses on the life of Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and freedom fighter, showcasing his legal battle against British rule after the 1919 Amritsar massacre. Produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, the movie aims to shed light on this crucial yet lesser-known chapter of India’s history.
