Hyderabad, December 19, 2024: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over what he termed “double standards” regarding the Adani issue. Rao criticized Gandhi for making contradictory statements about the business tycoon, accusing him of inconsistency in his approach to corporate practices and the role of the government.
Speaking to the media, K.T. Rama Rao claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were politically motivated and lacked clarity. He stated that Congress had been attempting to play both sides of the fence—criticizing Adani when it was convenient but failing to address the core issues of corporate influence and governance. Rao also pointed out the Congress party’s previous relationships with businesses, questioning their credibility in raising such issues now.
Rao’s comments come amid an ongoing political debate over the Adani Group’s business dealings, with the BJP and Congress trading barbs over the issue. The BRS leader’s remarks are expected to further fuel the political discourse surrounding the Adani controversy, adding another layer to the already heated discussions in the national political landscape.
