Navi Mumbai: BJP president J.P. Nadda, addressing an election rally in Navi Mumbai, highlighted the transformative politics brought by the NDA and BJP-led Mahayuti under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Nadda emphasized that the government has created a new political culture defined by accountability and delivering on promises, stating, “Whatever was said has been done, and what was not said has also been done.”
Criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nadda accused him of misleading people on constitutional matters. He argued that Gandhi’s stance on reservations contradicts Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s principles, pointing out the Congress-led Karnataka government’s decision to allocate 4% reservation to minorities in private tenders. He further credited PM Modi for India’s economic growth, noting the country’s rise from the 12th to the fifth-largest economy globally.
Nadda also contrasted the BJP-led Mahayuti with the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), labeling the former as a “rising sun” for Maharashtra’s development and accusing the latter of pushing the state into darkness. He urged voters to support the Mahayuti for continued progress and economic advancements, projecting India’s ascent to the third-largest global economy under Modi’s third term.
Targeting Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray, Nadda accused him of compromising his father Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideals by aligning with Congress for power. He lauded Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for upholding Balasaheb’s vision, asserting that Maharashtra would hold Uddhav accountable for forsaking those principles.
