Tirupati, April 22, 2025 — ISRO is set to launch four rockets by July, with preparations ongoing at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Tirupati. The first launch will occur in June, featuring the GSLV-F16 rocket carrying the NISAR satellite, developed in collaboration with NASA. This mission will focus on studying Earth’s environmental systems using dual-frequency radar data, including L-band payloads from both agencies.

In July, ISRO will launch the Bluebird Block-2 satellite aboard the LVM3-M5 rocket under a commercial agreement with IST Space Mobile and INC USA. Additionally, the EOS-09 satellite, equipped with C-band synthetic aperture radar, will be launched using the PSLV-C61 rocket to capture high-resolution Earth images. ISRO will also conduct the Test Vehicle-D2 mission, which involves sea recovery operations to demonstrate the Gaganyaan crew escape system.
