Menlo Park, April 18, 2025 – Instagram has introduced a new feature called Blend, allowing users to watch Reels together with their close friends in a shared, personalized feed. This feature, currently rolling out globally, curates content based on the interests and viewing habits of both users in the Blend. It’s designed to foster more intimate and engaging interactions on the platform, similar to Spotify’s popular “Blend” playlists for music.
To use Blend, users need to send an invite to a friend via the Reels tab or through DMs. Once accepted, a joint feed is created where both can view and react to Reels tailored for them. Instagram says the feature updates daily and offers an easy way to bond over trending content while maintaining user privacy through individual control of Blend participation.
