India’s Semiconductor Growth Hindered by Supply Chain & Talent Shortage: Jefferies

New Delhi, March 25, 2025 – India’s semiconductor industry is grappling with supply chain constraints and a shortage of skilled talent, according to a recent report by Jefferies. The report highlights that while India is making strides in semiconductor manufacturing, challenges such as limited access to critical raw materials, dependency on imports, and insufficient local expertise continue to hinder growth.

Jefferies also pointed out that despite government incentives and policy support, the sector requires substantial investment in infrastructure and workforce development. Addressing these challenges is crucial for India to emerge as a global semiconductor hub and reduce its reliance on foreign suppliers.
