
New Delhi, May 31, 2025 – India has reported a rise in active COVID-19 cases, with the total reaching 2,710, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry. Over the past 24 hours, 1,170 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals across the country. However, the same period also saw the unfortunate loss of seven lives due to COVID-related complications.
The Ministry continues to urge citizens to remain cautious, especially in crowded areas, and to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour. Health officials have reiterated the importance of vaccination, regular hand hygiene, and wearing masks in vulnerable settings. The central and state health authorities are monitoring the situation closely to ensure timely response and containment measures wherever needed.
