New Delhi, January 24, 2025: India has reaffirmed its commitment to revitalizing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to strengthen multilateralism and address global challenges effectively. At a high-level meeting on UN reforms, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN called for greater inclusivity, efficiency, and transparency in the Assembly’s functioning.
Highlighting the need for equitable representation, India underscored its support for reforming the UN system to reflect contemporary realities. The statement also emphasized global cooperation to tackle pressing issues like climate change, sustainable development, and international peace and security.
