New York, February 19, 2025: India’s UN envoy, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, condemned Pakistan’s misinformation on Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming that the region is an integral part of India. His remarks came in response to Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who raised the Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council (UNSC).
Harish highlighted the high voter turnout in recent elections, showcasing Jammu and Kashmir’s democratic strength. He criticized Pakistan for misleading the global community, stating that false narratives would not change the reality on the ground. His remarks were made during a UNSC debate on multilateralism and global governance reforms.
