Kathmandu, December 11, 2024: The first-ever India-Nepal Tourism Meet was held in Kathmandu to promote the Mahakumbh 2025, a major religious event in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Organized by the Indian Embassy in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board, the meeting aimed at enhancing tourism ties and fostering business-to-business (B2B) connections between the two nations.
The event focused on promoting cross-border tourism, with an emphasis on religious and cultural tourism circuits involving both countries. Key participants included Nepal’s Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Arun Kumar Chaudhary, who discussed improving connectivity and expanding tourism opportunities.
The highlight of the meeting was a presentation on Mahakumbh 2025, emphasizing its significance for Nepalese devotees. The event concluded with a Kathak dance performance, strengthening the cultural exchange between India and Nepal.
