    India-Japan Partnership: Assam CM Discusses Skill Development with Japanese Vice Minister

    Guwahati, January 24, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with Japan’s Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kentaro Uesugi, to explore avenues for collaboration in skill development and employment opportunities for youth. The discussions focused on fostering partnerships between Assam and Japan in sectors such as education, technology, and entrepreneurship to empower the state’s young population.

    During the meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and enhancing bilateral ties. Japan’s support in infrastructure development and capacity-building programs in Assam was also highlighted. The Chief Minister expressed optimism that this collaboration would provide new opportunities for the state’s youth and strengthen Assam’s role in India-Japan relations.
