Shimla, March 8, 2025 – Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh has urged Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to relax the eligibility criteria for the Urban Challenge Fund. He argued that the current requirements are hindering the progress of urban development projects in the state.
Vikramaditya highlighted the need for more flexibility in the criteria to address the unique challenges of Himachal Pradesh. A revised approach, he suggested, would allow the state to fully benefit from the fund and improve its urban infrastructure, sanitation, and other essential services.
