Gandhinagar, April 8, 2025 – Over the last five years, the Gujarat government has disbursed ₹70,000 crore in loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), significantly aiding micro and small businesses in the state. The initiative has played a key role in boosting entrepreneurship and creating job opportunities, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
Since its national launch in 2015, PMMY has sanctioned more than 52 crore loans worth ₹32.61 lakh crore. Gujarat’s substantial contribution under the scheme underscores its efforts to promote inclusive economic growth and support small-scale enterprises that form the backbone of the local economy.
