
New Delhi, December 17, 2024: Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Chauhan stated that the government is making significant efforts to increase farmers’ income across the country. In a recent address, Chauhan emphasized that the government’s policies are focused on improving the financial condition of farmers by boosting agricultural productivity, providing better market access, and offering subsidies for agricultural inputs.
Chauhan highlighted various initiatives, including the implementation of direct benefit transfers (DBT) for farmers, increased investment in irrigation systems, and support for crop diversification to ensure stable income. He also mentioned the government’s focus on providing farmers with affordable access to modern farming technologies and equipment, which will reduce costs and increase yields.
The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of farmers, stating that improving agricultural infrastructure and facilitating better price realization for produce were key components of the plan. Chauhan added that the introduction of new schemes, along with ongoing reforms in agricultural policies, would significantly contribute to long-term income growth for farmers.
“The central government is dedicated to uplifting the agricultural sector and ensuring that farmers earn a fair and sustainable livelihood,” Chauhan concluded.
