    Google India Reports ₹1,424.9 Crore PAT for FY 2023-24, Marking Significant Growth from Previous Year

    NEW DELHI: Google India reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,424.9 crore for the financial year 2023-24, as per documents shared by Tofler on Friday. This marks an increase from the PAT of ₹1,342.5 crore recorded in FY23.

    In the reported fiscal year, Google India achieved a total income of ₹7,097.5 crore, comprising ₹5,921.1 crore from continuing operations and ₹1,176.4 crore from discontinued operations. In 2020-2021, Google India had applied to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for the demerger of its IT business, which was subsequently transferred to Google IT Services India Pvt Ltd.

    The NCLT approved the scheme of arrangement on May 25, 2023, which took effect in the financial statements from June 30, 2023. Following this approval, Google India’s IT business was officially transferred to Google IT Services India Pvt Ltd effective April 1, 2021.

    For the financial year 2023-24, Google India reported revenues of ₹5,921 crore, reflecting a 26% increase compared to the previous financial year. The company also noted a net profit of ₹1,425 crore for the same period.
