The Andhra Pradesh government has given good news to ration card holders. It has decided to continue supplying cooking oils at lower prices across the state. Palm oil will be provided at Rs. 110 per liter, and sunflower oil at Rs. 124 per liter. To this effect, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar held a meeting with cooking oil importers. He advised them to ensure that there is sufficient stock available to avoid any difficulties in the supply of cooking oils.
Manohar mentioned that the subsidized cooking oil being provided across the state is receiving increased support from the public. To ensure a smooth supply without issues from importers, this meeting was conducted to enhance the supply. He stated that with the central government increasing import duties, there is a possibility of a rise in cooking oil prices. The primary aim of the state government is to reduce the hardships faced by the common people, which is why they are offering cooking oils at a subsidized rate. The minister urged the cooking oil importers to increase the supply and ensure timely delivery.
On the other hand, Minister Manohar expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the supply of subsidized pigeon pea (toor dal). After inquiring about the reasons, he questioned the suppliers. He warned that action would be taken if quality pigeon pea is not provided. He emphasized that the coalition government is bearing the losses for the sake of the people and is making efforts to provide pigeon pea at a lower price. He also advised that if there are any issues, they should be communicated in advance.
Minister Manohar urged the pigeon pea (toor dal) suppliers to cooperate with the public. He instructed them to supply the dal in full as specified in the tender. He warned that strict actions would be taken if quality pigeon pea is not supplied. The minister, Nadendla Manohar, emphasized the need to purchase pigeon pea at market rates and supply it to the poor at subsidized prices. With the rising prices of essential commodities, the government is providing them at subsidized rates. It is known that this month, the government has made cooking oils, onions, and tomatoes available at lower prices in Rythu Bazaars. He also assured that cooking oils would continue to be available to the public at subsidized rates.
