
Geneva, February 19, 2025: At the Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy 2025, Tibetan activist Namkyi condemned China’s continued oppression in Tibet, highlighting restrictions on religious freedom, mass surveillance, and forced assimilation. She urged global leaders and organizations to take action against Beijing’s repressive policies.
Namkyi stressed the importance of international support in preserving Tibet’s cultural identity and human rights. She called on democratic nations to stand with Tibetans and hold China accountable. Her speech strengthened calls for diplomatic pressure on Beijing to end its suppression of Tibetan people.
