
Hyderabad, May 28, 2025 – In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Telangana Police have seized over 1,380 kilograms of ganja worth ₹4.15 crore. The seizure took place during a vehicle check in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Acting on specific intelligence, police intercepted a vehicle near the Bhadrachalam area and found it packed with ganja, which was reportedly being transported to other states.
Two individuals involved in the smuggling operation were arrested on the spot. Police officials stated that the contraband was being transported in a concealed manner, and further investigation is underway to identify the broader network involved in the illegal drug trade. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to curbing narcotics smuggling across the state.
