Geneva, February 13 – At the Geneva Summit, a former Tibetan political prisoner called on the United Nations to take stronger action against the human rights abuses in Tibet. He highlighted the ongoing repression, including torture and detention of political dissidents, urging the international community to hold China accountable for its actions against Tibetans.
The speaker also stressed the need for increased diplomatic pressure to protect Tibetan rights and preserve their cultural and religious identity. He appealed to the UN to take meaningful steps to address the crisis and ensure justice for Tibetans, making the summit an important platform for raising global awareness on Tibet’s human rights situation.
