Guwahati, February 17, 2025 — Assam Police have filed an FIR against Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh for alleged involvement in activities threatening national security. The investigation, based on intelligence reports, is focused on his illegal activities in the region. Authorities are actively probing his connections to uncover the full scope of his involvement.
The investigation, however, has no links to the British wife of Assam Congress leader Gogoi, as clarified by sources. Despite speculation, there is no evidence connecting her to the case, with the police continuing to focus solely on Sheikh’s actions.
