Faridabad: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s visit to Haryana’s Palwal district for an election rally on Tuesday (October 1), the Faridabad Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth traffic flow and law and order. To ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain law and order, several restrictions will be in place from 9 AM to 6 PM on the day of the visit.
As per the advisory, the entry of all types of heavy and light motor vehicles (LMVs) into the district of Palwal from Faridabad and Delhi will be completely prohibited during the specified hours. The restrictions apply particularly to vehicles traveling on the Agra-Mathura Highway (NH-44). Violations of the rules will result in strict action under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Avoid Delhi-Mathura Road (NH-44): Vehicle drivers traveling to Palwal from Faridabad or Delhi are urged to avoid NH-44 from 9 AM to 6 PM and instead use the Bypass Road via IMT Chowk to Fatehpur-Mandkola-Palwal Road.
Alternative for Kaily to Gadpuri-Prithla: Motorists are advised to take the Bypass Road as an alternative route instead of the National Highway.
Faridabad to Palwal Route: Drivers heading to Palwal from Faridabad should use the KMP/KGP (Western Peripheral Expressway), Vadodara Expressway, instead of NH-44.
Kaily to Jajru Underpass Route: Those traveling towards the Vadodara Expressway should utilize the Kaily to Jajru Underpass route.
Chandawali-Dayalpur Route: All vehicle drivers should opt for the Chandawali-Dayalpur route through Faridabad Bypass to IMT Chowk to access the KMP and KGP Expressways.
Delhi to Palwal Route: Motorists coming from Delhi should take the Bypass route from Badarpur Border to KMP and KGP Expressways.
The police have also urged citizens to use public transport instead of private vehicles during the restricted hours to further ease traffic congestion. The advisory is aimed at ensuring minimal disruption to daily life while maintaining safety and order. The police have requested the cooperation of all residents and vehicle drivers to follow the instructions and use alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience.

The 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled to go to polls on October 5 and the counting of votes will be taken up on October 8. While the BJP is aiming for a hat-trick this time, the Congress is aiming to come back to power in Haryana after a 10-year hiatus.
