Nagpur, India, February 7, 2025: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s claims of voter list irregularities, calling them an attempt to cover up Congress’ weak standing in the Delhi Assembly elections. He stated that the Election Commission had already addressed concerns over the 39 lakh new voters added in Maharashtra since 2024. Gandhi, along with Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP) leaders, had questioned the surge, demanding transparency.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Atishi alleged that the central government was manipulating voter lists by removing AAP supporters to sway the elections. She claimed that around 20,000 names were unfairly deleted and urged election officials to resist political pressure, escalating tensions ahead of the Delhi polls.
