Srinagar: An encounter has erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Nagmarg area of Kupwara District in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation is ongoing, and reports suggest that two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area. Security forces have cordoned off the region and are taking all necessary precautions to neutralize the militants.
In a separate operation, security forces have launched an extensive search in the Doda region, concentrating on the Desa and Gandoh areas. The Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the Indian Army, are conducting thorough searches through the forested regions of these areas. These operations are a continuation of efforts to secure the region and prevent further militant activity.
The areas being searched are strategically linked by ridges to the Keshwan forests, which have been a hotspot for militant activity in recent months. In a recent attack, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed two Village Defence Guard (VDG) members and an Army soldier in the Keshwan forests, adding to the urgency of these operations.
The search operations in Doda are critical in preventing further militant activity in the region, and authorities are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of local residents while targeting the terrorists involved in these attacks.
