Guntur, February 6, 2025: Guntur District Collector and Returning Officer S. Nagalakshmi provided details on the Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC election, confirming that polling will occur on February 27, 2025, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with vote counting on March 3. A total of 3,46,529 voters are registered, and polling will take place at 416 stations across the Guntur and Krishna districts, with enhanced security at sensitive areas.
To ensure a fair election, officials have warned against vote-buying and bribery and introduced measures like training for staff, provisions for senior citizens and disabled voters, and a grievance redressal system. The CEO urged citizens to actively participate and report violations, stressing the need for a transparent and impartial election process.
