Penuganchiprolu, February 12, 2025: The Sri Lakshmi Tirupatamma Kalyanotsavam was celebrated grandly in Penuganchiprolu, NTR District, with Vedic rituals performed by priests and scholars. The divine wedding of Sri Tirupatamma and Gopayya Swamy was presided over by the temple’s hereditary trustees, the Kakani Vallakolla couples, on a specially arranged platform.
The event witnessed the participation of Jaggaiahpet MLA Sriram Tatayya, who offered silk garments and a pearl garland to the deities. With around one lakh devotees in attendance and thousands seated in special galleries, security was tight, managed by 500 police personnel, drones, and CCTV cameras under the Vijayawada DCPs’ supervision. Temple authorities ensured a smooth experience for all attendees.
