The biting cold wave has intensified across northern India, disrupting daily routines and prompting authorities to issue advisories for residents to take necessary precautions.
In contrast, Kashmir, which has been battling freezing conditions over the past weeks, saw a slight respite as temperatures climbed marginally due to improved weather conditions. The valley, however, remains on alert for possible snowfall in the coming days, which could disrupt connectivity in higher-altitude areas.
Meteorologists have attributed the sharp dip in Delhi’s temperature to clear skies and cold northwesterly winds sweeping across the plains. As the cold wave continues to grip the region, schools and offices have urged citizens to remain prepared for further temperature drops in the coming days.
