The Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro has been extended to the Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 station, providing direct connectivity to the newly inaugurated Yashobhoomi Convention Center. This extension, inaugurated in September 2023, is a significant step in enhancing public transportation for those traveling to one of the city’s most anticipated venues. The new station serves as a vital hub for passengers, particularly those attending events at the convention center.
A key feature of this extension is the 735-meter-long subway that connects the Metro station to the exhibition halls, ensuring a smooth and efficient transfer for visitors. The extended Airport Express Line has also seen an upgrade in its operational speed, with trains now reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. This has drastically reduced travel times, cutting the commute between New Delhi and Yashobhoomi to just 21 minutes.
The extension not only provides improved access to the convention center but also enhances the overall convenience for travelers heading to Dwarka. This development is expected to play a major role in facilitating smooth transportation for the growing number of national and international events hosted at Yashobhoomi.
With the Yashobhoomi Convention Center becoming a key venue for global events, this infrastructure improvement is expected to have a lasting impact on Delhi’s transportation network, further solidifying the city’s role as a major hub for conferences and exhibitions.
