Visakhapatnam, January 8, 2025: Changes have been made to the security of Chief Minister Chandrababu, with the integration of new Counter Action Teams in response to the Maoist threat. These teams, alongside the SSG and Black Cat Commandos, will ensure the CM’s protection. Six commandos from the Counter Action Team will be assigned to safeguard the Chief Minister, ensuring minimal disruption to the public.
The Chief Minister’s security is organized in a three-tier system, with the NSG as the first layer, the SSG as the second, and local armed forces forming the third during his travels. Additionally, six Counter Action Commandos, trained by the Special Protection Group (SPG), will provide further protection. They follow a strict dress code with “SSG” displayed on their attire and are tasked with addressing any external threats to the CM’s safety.
