New Delhi, January 11, 2025: On Sankranti, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wished the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, hoping the festival brings joy and light to all. He emphasized the importance of visiting one’s hometown during festivals to connect with family and community, a tradition he follows every year, started by his wife, Bhuvaneswari, over 20 years ago. He also highlighted the responsibility of the affluent to ensure the poor enjoy the festival and announced the introduction of the P4 Concept Paper for discussion at all levels.
CM Naidu also acknowledged the heavy rush during this Sankranti, with many traveling to their hometowns. He assured that measures would be taken, including additional transportation like school buses, to manage the crowd. Many roads have been improved, and the remaining work will be completed by next month. The CM expressed hopes that festivals like Sankranti would strengthen relationships and encourage community activities, with events like “Happy Sunday” to be promoted at the village level.
