Amaravati: The construction of the Amaravati Capital 2.0 has commenced. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu initiated the restart of the capital’s construction work in Amaravati. On Saturday, the CM conducted rituals in Rayapudi and commenced the works. The construction agency CRDA, which has already completed 80% of the Amaravati construction, saw CM Chandrababu start the remaining office work. It is known that CRDA undertook the office construction work in 2018 with an investment of ₹160 crore across 7 floors. The government recently made a decision regarding the restart of the work during a CRDA Authority meeting and implemented it immediately.
Heroic Struggle of Women…
The CM appreciated the farmers who gave their land for the capital, Amaravati. He praised Minister Narayana for his strategic approach in the land acquisition process. The CM mentioned that the farmers believed in a bright future for the state, which is why they gave up their land on such a large scale. He stated that approximately 4,300 acres were acquired and criticized the previous government for causing a lot of distress to the Amaravati farmers, even though the farmers contributed their land for the greater good of society. He praised the women farmers, saying they fought heroically, even more valiantly than Rani Rudrama.
“I have seen the hardships you faced… We provided financial aid by collecting contributions for your movement. When you went from the court to the temple, they obstructed you. You even ate your meals on the streets. It is a divine decision… this land is sacred. We brought holy soil and water from all over the world. We immediately initiated the construction of this building with modifications, costing ₹160 crore. We will start the work in four months,” he said. “On the 121st day, we will return and inaugurate this building. Amaravati is at the heart of the state, surrounded by 12 parliamentary constituencies. We have declared Visakhapatnam as the economic capital, Kurnool will have a High Court bench, and industries will be established there. The lease period has already ended, which took some time. Soon, we will provide ₹222 crore as the second installment to the farmers as compensation. We are also giving ₹5,000 each to the agricultural laborers,” he revealed.
This is the Capital of the Gods
“Our resolve is very strong… Not a single rupee was spent for Hyderabad. I created wealth there. The government in Hyderabad is earning thousands of crores based on the Outer Ring Road; they are talking about it becoming worth a lakh crore. Amaravati doesn’t need funds. Amaravati will be a self-financing capital. After we started the capital, the property rates increased throughout the state and in Amaravati. The government doesn’t need to spend even a single rupee. Yesterday, his house in Bengaluru got flooded… not Amaravati. If you wish for someone else’s downfall, you will end up harming yourself. Ramoji Rao suggested that the name ‘Amaravati’ is appropriate. The people have given their 100% approval to Amaravati. This is the capital of the gods. Except for the summer heat, everything here is favorable. We planned to build the city with a Blue-Green concept,” said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Work Must Be Completed in Three Years…
“Roads and plots were excavated here and sold. The central region of Amaravati will be like Central Vista. In history, the Amaravati Conservation Committee has carried out a movement for 1,631 days. WIT and SRM are operational here, and Amrita University is working as well. BITS Pilani is also coming here. Top institutions should come to this place. In the coming days, Amaravati will be the only city built in India. In the future, this city will have a population of one crore. I discussed with Ashwini Vaishnaw about the bullet train. I requested that the train connect Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Amaravati. We will complete all the pending works. I will complete the Assembly, Secretariat, and High Court within the scheduled time. Ensure all works are done transparently. The city should give priority to electric vehicles. Green energy will become the norm in the future. I am asking you to complete the work within a maximum of three years. We defined the capital region as 8,603 square kilometers within a 217-kilometer CRDA boundary. Both the farmers and the government have benefited from Amaravati. The work in Amaravati will speed up. When we completed 72% of the Polavaram project, it was halted. This year, the rain god has been kind. We have set another vision titled ‘Swarna Andhra Pradesh 2047.’ What I say isn’t meant for the 420s. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken up ‘Developed India 2047,'” revealed the CM.
