Beijing, March 24, 2025 – China continues to advance its military technology, raising global concerns. Recently, it unveiled Shuqiao landing barges, tested on Zhanjiang beach, which can extend a loading dock nearly a kilometer into the sea. This enhances the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) amphibious capabilities, particularly concerning Taiwan. However, analysts highlight vulnerabilities, including reliance on air and sea control.
China is also testing experimental satellites capable of coordinated maneuvers in space, described by U.S. Space Force General Michael Guetlein as “dogfighting.” These satellites could have military applications, increasing concerns about space militarization. Experts stress the need for global treaties to prevent conflicts in outer space.
