
Uttarakhand, May 31, 2025 – The Char Dham Yatra this year has attracted over 1.6 million devotees, marking a significant turnout for the pilgrimage season. Among the four sacred shrines, Kedarnath alone witnessed more than 650,000 visitors within the first 30 days of the yatra. Authorities reported smooth management of the crowds with enhanced safety measures and infrastructure to support the large influx of pilgrims.
The yatra, which includes visits to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, continues to draw enthusiastic devotees from across the country. Officials emphasized ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness, ensure pilgrims’ safety, and provide adequate facilities throughout the pilgrimage route. The high footfall this season reflects the strong spiritual connection and faith of the people towards the Char Dham shrines.
