    Chandrababu Naidu Plans AI and Innovation Hub in Amaravati

    Amaravati, November 26, 2024 – Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to create a Deep Technology Iconic Building in Amaravati, similar to Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City. He emphasized the importance of deep technology, artificial intelligence, and other advanced fields for the future of youth. He called for proposals related to the construction of such a building, which would promote deep tech in the state.

    During a review meeting on the IT department, the Chief Minister discussed incentives for IT companies and developers. He instructed officials to devise plans to establish 5 lakh workstations by 2029 and 10 lakh by 2034. He also highlighted the need for land leasing for co-working spaces and office complexes at subsidized rates, as well as the implementation of a single-window system for infrastructure permissions. Additionally, he urged bringing IT companies under industrial power tariffs to support the sector.

    In line with the state’s startup policy, CM Naidu suggested offering seed funding up to ₹25 lakh for SC, ST, BC, minority, and women entrepreneurs. He proposed creating 5 regional innovation hubs connected to the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub in Amaravati. These hubs will be spread across Central Andhra, Rayalaseema, South Andhra, Godavari, and North Andhra to foster innovation in the state.

    The Chief Minister also focused on employment goals, urging officials to create a roadmap to generate jobs each month. He directed district collectors to identify areas suitable for workstations and evaluate the number of people working from home across the state. Additionally, he emphasized enhancing the skills of workers for future needs and improving job creation in the IT sector. Furthermore, the government is planning subsidies for developers of co-working spaces, neighborhood working spaces, and IT campuses based on specific criteria such as capacity and office space size.
