New Delhi, April 7, 2025: Union Minister Manohar Lal led a key review meeting on the Smart Cities Mission, joined by MoS Kaushal Kishore and Tokhan Sahu. The meeting focused on evaluating the progress of current urban development projects under the mission and ensuring their timely completion across the country.
Discussions emphasized sustainable operation and maintenance of urban assets, the effective use of Integrated Command and Control Centres (ICCCs), and the critical role of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in maintaining long-term urban transformation. The ministers stressed the importance of strategic planning to keep the momentum of the Smart Cities Mission going.
