Amaravati, April 9, 2025: The Central Government has turned its attention to unresolved issues from the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana bifurcation, approving the Amaravati-Hyderabad Greenfield Expressway and directing the Home Ministry to begin preparing a Detailed Project Report. Work on the Amaravati Ring Road is also set to begin soon, while the northern section of Telangana’s Regional Ring Road has entered the approval process.
In addition, the Centre has asked the Petroleum Ministry to examine setting up a new refinery in Andhra Pradesh. The Railways Ministry will assess potential rail corridors connecting Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and Kurnool. Multiple ministries have been instructed to work on clearing long-pending issues between the two states.
