New Delhi, January 9, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification directing schools to submit details of teachers’ qualifications and documents as part of the Mandatory Public Disclosure. Schools are required to create their official websites and upload the necessary information. Despite repeated instructions, the CBSE has observed that many affiliated schools still do not have a functional website, and some that do either have incomplete uploads or inactive links. In certain cases, even when the documents have been uploaded, they are not prominently displayed on the homepage.
The CBSE has given schools one final opportunity to comply with these directives within 30 days of the notice. Schools that fail to do so will face necessary action as per the provisions of Chapter 12 of the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018, which may include penalties. The Board has urged schools to adhere to these instructions promptly, or risk facing further legal proceedings without additional reminders.
