New Delhi, January 25, 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for submitting online applications under the CBSE Merit Scholarship Schemes, including the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme. The new deadline for both fresh applications and renewals is February 8, 2025, with school verification due by February 15, 2025. Eligible students can receive Rs 500 per month, with requirements including bank details, a verified Class 11 mark sheet, Aadhaar card linked to the bank account, and a verified copy of the bank passbook or cancelled cheque.
To qualify, applicants must be single girl children who completed Class 10 in 2024 and are now studying in Class 11 at a CBSE-affiliated school. They should have scored a minimum of 60% in their Class 10 exams. The tuition fee for eligible students must not exceed Rs 1,500 per month, with a 10% annual increase for Classes 11 and 12. For NRI students, the fee cap is Rs 6,000 per month. Applicants can complete the application form and submit the necessary documents through the CBSE official website.
