
New Delhi, February 19, 2025: The CBI has filed a corruption case against four individuals, including three senior Western Railways officers, for allegedly accepting bribes in exchange for awarding railway contracts. The case was registered after an inquiry uncovered irregularities in the procurement and tendering processes. Officials stated that such corrupt practices undermine the integrity of public services and vowed strict action against those involved.
As part of the investigation, CBI teams conducted searches at multiple locations associated with the accused, seizing incriminating documents and other evidence. Authorities emphasized their commitment to transparency and accountability in the railway sector, reinforcing efforts to curb corruption in government institutions.
